Death To Puberty’s music is the twisted combination of moans and drastic guitar playing.
It started as Chuck Baclagon’s musical departure from the raw punk rock sound of his former band, Pay It Forward, as a conscious exodus from the adolescent angst that was prevalent in the lyrical and musical themes of Pay It Forward as it focuses more on the somber frustrations that comes after growing out of puberty.
It is a reinvention of style and outlook that doesn’t cast away the baggage of the past but rather attempts to reorient pent up anxiety into something more understandable that the distorted sonic “fuck you” of punk rock, without altogether giving up on the whole DIY ethic and emotional honesty of punk.
